Deathloop’s PC Version Gets Patch To Fix Stuttering Issues

Deathloop

Deathloop has opened to great reviews, however, those playing its PC version haven’t been having an entirely pleasant experience. Following the game’s release, there were wide reports of stuttering issues related to the mouse, aside from framerate problems.

A hotfix for the same has been deployed by Arkane Studios and it’s live now for download. The Deathloop devs had said after the game’s release that they were “aware of reports that some PC users are experiencing stuttering issues” and were “actively investigating the issue right now as a priority.”

Deathloop’s hotfix 1.708.4.0 has been equipped with a patch meant to specifically addresses camera stuttering related to mouse movement. The patch notes also mentioned a “separate, but related issue” that could be leading to stuttering at high framerates and that the developers will provide an update on it as soon as they have more information.

Deahtloop comes from Dishonored devs Arkane Studios and it sure has the DNA of their earlier games embedded into it. The PS5 and PC title takes place during the 1960s over the course of a single repeating day on the subarctic island of Blackreef.

The story sees the player character Colt stuck in a time loop and tasked with taking out eight targets called Visionaries across the island before midnight. Leaving even one of them alive will cause the time loop to reset and undo his work.

A combination of stealth, parkour, attack skills, guns, gadgets, and powers are at the player’s disposal, making the game similar to Arkane’s previous Dishonored and Prey games in many ways. But Deathloop still holds its own in terms of originality. No wonder it’s been receiving such high praise from everyone who has played it.
