News And Odds For The International Esports Federation Championship

footbal-pes-2020 The International Esports Federation, also known as IESF, is a long-standing organization that organizes a yearly Esports World Championship featuring a variety of games. This championship is a great entry point tournament for lots of fans coming from traditional sports as its format revolves around having national representatives as opposed to esports organizations, meaning it’s much more like the FIFA World Cup than most major tournaments in esports which are essentially club-based. SBR will constantly update the info on picks and tips about how to bet on the event as well. IESF partnered up with a variety of organizations around the globe to hold national qualifiers and send their national representatives to the world championship and such will be the case again for the 12th Esports World Championship to be held between November 15th and 20th in Israel. Despite our current pandemic, organizers are positive that we will be going back to normalcy before and the event and if it turns out we are not, measures will be taken as they have been taken with multiple other esports tournaments around the world in the last few weeks.

At the beginning of March, IESF announced the first games that will be featured during this 2020 championship. The first announced title was KONAMI’s eFootball PES which is also a great entry point game as it’s basically a soccer simulation game. PES is a widely praised game across many countries and it seems like a natural pick for the event although some fans are left wondering why PES has been picked over FIFA. The latter is probably due to the fact that the EA’s FIFA series already has a long-lasting and structurally sound esports scene that seems to have no interest in working with more third parties at the moment. In fact, we can see the odds courtesy of SBR for FIFA 2020 Ultimate Quaran-Team are:

C Groningen  +335

Lille OSC  -179

Draw  +335

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC -128

FC Sion +250

Draw +296

tekken-7

The second game to be announced was BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment’s Tekken 7 which then again makes a great pick in our opinion. Tekken isn’t only a long-lasting fighting title but the fact that it’s a fighting game, despite all the fantasy in it, makes it another great entry point for fans coming from traditional sports once again. Tekken has demonstrated that its community has talent spread all over the world, from the old gods of Japan and Korea to the newer legends of Perú and Pakistan. Tekken has truly become an international game and will put on a great show at the event provided some of the best consider entering the tournament which may or may not be the case given IESF usually prefers showcasing rookie talent and will normally gate the qualifiers, keeping professionals from participating.

dota-2

The third and final game to be announced earlier this month was DOTA 2 and while DOTA is the hardest game to learn and understand out of all these three, it’s really easy to enjoy and has fans all across the globe. DOTA 2 is one of the earlier esports games that broke through the mainstream and became a truly global phenomenon. IESF extended a thank you to the publishers of the games which indicates that the organizers are working closely with them to at least promote and approve of this competition which may explain why this year seems to be lacking League of Legends, a title that was previously included in the championship. 2019 was the year in which League of Legends wasn’t a part of the lineup for the first time and many were wondering why but after there was some drama at the latest entry regarding national organizations sending players that weren’t eligible to compete, it seems normal that the game was dropped out until IESF can establish an appropriate structure to hold a League of Legends tournament within their Championships. Make sure to check out the SBR site as it will feature information on how to bet on this event, making it a great option to cash in on your esports knowledge during the last quarter of the year. Hopefully, the coronavirus pandemic will have calmed down by then and the event can take place. Feel free to let us know which games you would like to have featured in this event or future reiterations of the same!
