Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition headed to PC with ‘highest visual fidelity ever’

Here’s yet another timely re-release of Resident Evil 4 which this time around comes in the form of the Ultimate HD Edition aimed at PC. This version will be launched in physical form in Europe, and will be making its way to Steam as well for people living outside the said territory. Slated to hit availability status on February 28, it will be priced at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs 1,240).

Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition will be the first time that the much acclaimed survival horror title will be seen running at 60 frames per second. It will embrace Steam whole-heartedly, thus grabbing support for Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Trading Cards, global leaderboards and full game controller. Moreover, all the additions that were made to the previous versions of the game will be present in this one, including the Separate Ways epilogue.

It can be pre-ordered now through Steam, and those who place their orders prior to its release will be granted bonus content along with their downloads. This includes a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack. This offer is not available on its physical version though.

First released in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube, Resident Evil 4 is considered one of the finest survival horror video games of all time. It was quick to make its way to other platforms like the PS2, PC, the Xbox as well as the Wii, and in 2010, it also made its way to the iPad. 2011 saw the game being released for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 in revamped HD form.

Like we said, Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition will be made available for PC on February 28 at a price of 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,240).
