Thief PC requirements are quite demanding

Square Enix has put out the Thief PC requirements, in minimum as well as recommended form, and they’re looking quite demanding if you ask us. 4GB worth of RAM is required as a minimum in order to play the game, and Radeon GPU users will be at an advantage thanks to the developers’ partnership with AMD to support its advanced capabilities like Eyefinity multi-display technology, TrueAudio, Mantle API and more.

Of course, there’s no Windows XP support, as the minimum requirement in the software department is Windows Vista with a platform update. Any high performance dual core or quad core processor is fine for Thief, whereas the AMD Radeon 4800 series or the Nvidia GTS 250 and above will be enough to run the game. At least DirectX 10 will be needed moreover.

As for the recommended specs, Thief will run best on Windows 7 or 8. Square Enix says anything between the AMD FX 8000 series or better and an Intel i7 quad core CPU will be optimal for the game. More than 4GB worth of RAM and DirectX 11 have also been recommended. The AMD Radeon HD R9 series or better or the Nvidia GTX 660 series or better will run the game at its best.

20GB worth of storage space will be occupied by Thief, so better be prepared for that as well. This reboot to the popular yesteryear series is slated to hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on February 25.
