Going with Ubisoft’s recent policy of delaying PC versions of its games, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier too will be outed a while later than its PS3 and Xbox 360 editions. June 15 has been marked as the launch date for this new tactical shooter which is to be released for consoles on May 22, 2012.
Exclusive visual features will form part of this version, with high standard visuals being delivered by the DX11 renderer, new high quality assets, fresh post process effects, compatibility for multi-monitor solutions as well as TriDef stereoscopic support. Its DirectX11 support will supposedly be able to enhance tessellation for soft 3D models, calculate shaders-based realistic lighting for global illumination and volumetric fog.
Although a broadband connection will be mandatory just once for registering the Uplay account, those who continue to using the Internet will get to open various features like the online widget which will enable access to Party, Friends and Ghost Feed functions. And of course, to access the online multiplayer modes, a continuous Internet connection will be required. Other exclusive traits that form part of the PC version include Party text Chat, Uplay Friends system and fully customizable controls for the localized keyboards.
An Intel Pentium D 3.0Ghz or an AMD Athlon64 X2 4400+ 2.2GHz processor has been listed under the minimum requirements catalog of the game. For Windows XP users, 1GB RAM will be needed, while for those using Windows Vista or Windows 7, 2GB of memory will be compulsory. Apart from these, a 256MB DirectX–compliant, shader 4.0–enabled video card has also been announced to be a minimum requirement.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be out for PC through retail as well as via digital downloads on June 15. It can be pre-ordered now at a price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,545).
