The little, one-eyed purple blob from The Maw, an action adventure game which released recently for about 10 USD (approx. Rs. 490) has become hugely popular. The disappointing news is that the DLC or downloadable content for The Maw is being delayed by many weeks.
The DLC for The Maw is expected to have 3 new ‘Lost Levels’ and lead artist David Leung said, “I love the world of The Maw and am really happy to have the opportunity to make these levels that are much larger and pack as much personality and new gameplay types.”
Each of these new levels will be made available for 100 Microsoft points, which is about 1.25 USD (approx. Rs. 60) on the Xbox Live Arcade. “We want to make these new levels as accessible as possible while still allowing the team to get paid for the time they are taking to make all this new content.”, CEO Michael Wilford stated.
The Maw has already received the Audience Choice Award in the 2008 PAX-10 showcase of independent games and is being considered as one of the finalists at the 2009 Independent Games Festival for Technical Excellence.
