Microsoft puts some real fun games on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA)! Now an independent studio named Twisted Pixel Games has sent word about The Maw, a title for the XBLA. The Maw is the first original title of the studio, which wants to focus on original titles for digital distribution on consoles.
Josh Bear, CCO & Director, Twisted Pixel Games commented, “We are really excited that The Maw will be our first original title – I think it’s a great example of the types of character-driven, content-packed experiences we want to deliver. Because it’s such a focus for us, our characters exhibit more personality and humor than any of the other retail game I’ve worked on in the past.”
The Maw is 3D action adventure game that sees gamers play as a simple alien called as Frank who must partner up with The Maw. It is a cute little blob with a voracious hunger, which makes him the most dangerous creature in the galaxy. The game has a lengthy, full scope, single-player experience. The Maw will feature cutting edge graphics technology along with a professionally composed soundtrack.
