The gladiator Rygar will be coming to Europe in 2009 with Rygar: The Battle of Argus, Rising Star Games has announced. The game features the Diskarmour shield and restructured gameplay mechanics. Also added are new game modes and enemies. The game will be exclusively for the Wii and should be released across the PAL territories in June 2009.
Rygar: The Battle of Argus makes full use of the Wii remote to control the handheld weapons. Featured in the game is a completely new mode called Gladiator mode in which players must fight their way through the scores of oncoming rivals.
Some key features of Rygar: The Battle of Argus include the Diskarmour shield that can be used for attack, defense or even for transportation. The adventure game is crammed with action through various zones, slaying numerous enemies and requires the player to solve a few puzzles on the way. The game also has many Diskarmour weapons waiting to be found which can be upgraded with elementary power-ups like ice, lightning and fire. Players can use a variety of combo attacks featured in the game.
Rygar: The Battle of Argus is developed and published by Tecmo and is expected to release in Europe in June this year. We had reported about Rygar: The Battle of Argus earlier. No info on the price as yet.
