Guitar Hero Metallica gets Lemmy from Motorhead

The award winning lead vocalist and bassist of the band Motorhead will be coming to Guitar Hero Metallica. Lemmy will jam with the band members of Metallica, Lars, James, Kirk and Robert on stage in Activision’s Guitar Hero Metallica this spring.

Aspiring living room rockstars will have the opportunity to rock alongside with game world Lemmy or play as him in Guitar Hero Metallica. The game will feature a 2008 re-recording of ‘Ace of Spades’ in its set list. Lemmy, born Ian Kilmister, joked, “It’s great to be in Guitar Hero with all these famous people and I’m really pleased to be in it with Metallica…but James is still taller than me.”

Guitar Hero Metallica features 22 tracks including some by artists handpicked by Metallica themselves namely, Bob Seger, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Queen and Lyryrd Skynyrd. Real world locations are available to perform at and players can even rock out at venues that appear on some of the band’s album covers.

Guitar Hero: Metallica for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment while the versions for the Nintendo Wii and the PS2 are being developed by Budcat. The game is expected to be out by March 29, 2009 and should cost you 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2, 910).
