A few days ago we had reported about Cliff Bleszinski’s remarks that PC gaming is in disarray. However, Mark Rein, who is the vice president of Epic Games, has laughed at the statements of the Gears of War designer. He spoke to video games news website Eurogamer.net and jokingly called Cliffy B an idiot!
Mark Rein said in an interview at GDC, “Cliff’s an idiot! I’m kidding, obviously. Hey, Cliff is Cliff, and he is making a console game, and that is what he’s focused on, so that is what his thinking is all about. But as a company, we make PC games. We love the PC, it’s our heritage, we want to see it be strong, and we want to sell games like Unreal Tournament III and Gears of War on PC, and have them sell as well as they do on console.”
You have to believe Mark Rein on Epic Games’ support for PC gaming. They were one of the first companies who in order to sign up for the PC Gaming Alliance. Rein also spoke about it and mentioned that it took them only ten minutes to make the decision. He stated that they gave their cheque as soon as they were invited for the PC Gaming Alliance.
