Microsoft really gave a treat to Xbox 360 gamers who love role-playing games when they released Fable II. The action game received rave reviews from critics when it was launched last month. But gamers have also been waiting for the downloadable content of Fable II.
Now Lionhead Studios as well as Microsoft Game Studios have revealed the Fable II DLC. One is the Knothole Island downloadable content pack, which is the premium one. Gamers can expect new quests, astounding items and bizarre characters. The other is the free Fable II downloadable pack. Gamers who download these packs can also expect gifts such as Knight’s Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion and a collectible silver book. Here are some details from Microsoft:
To engage in co-op gameplay with a player who has already downloaded the Knothole Island content, gamers will need to download the free pack. Both co-op players must download the Knothole Island (Premium) pack in order to play new quests and enjoy the complete Knothole Island co-op experience.
The Knothole Island downloadable content pack costs 800 Microsoft Points and will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, so is the specially created Albion dashboard theme. But that will cost 250 MP. The Fable II DLC will be out in mid-December 2008. Microsoft has also stated that over half a million copies of the action-RPG have been sold since the release.
