Sid Meier is behind many of the best strategy games that are available in the market. It looks like he too wants to go into the massively multiplayer online gaming market. Sid Meier spoke to GamersGlobal and revealed that he would like to explore the MMO concept.
Sid Meier is the director of creative development as well as the co-founder of Firaxis Games. He explains, “I would certainly like to play around with a MMO concept in future. I really can’t say if that would be the next game we do or if it’s still a couple of games down the road before we come to that.”
Meier said that the MMO would be a PC-only title and mentioned that the best place to play massively multiplayer online games would be the PC. He wants to do something different for a MMO but added that he still has singleplayer games that he wants to work on. Presently, Sid Meier is working on Civilization Revolution, which will come out later this year on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the DS.
Well, if he does something different, it could be a mixture of a MMO and a strategy game. It could be something similar to the Kingdom Under Fire sequel by Blueside and Phantagram, which is being called as a MMOARTS or a massively multiplayer action real time strategy game!
