Xbox 360 Getting Motion Sensing Controller?

Rumors about Microsoft coming up with a motion sensing controller for the Xbox 360 have been going on and on for quite a long time! Now XboxFamily is reporting that Microsoft has gotten into touch with Gyration, a company based in California, to come up with a motion-sensing peripheral for controllers of their next generation console.

Gyration is the same firm that has created a Vista-certified motion sensing remote for Microsoft’s Media Center. There is not much information about this motion sensing technology for the Xbox 360. Also, it is not known whether or not the new add-on will make use of the motion-sensing technology, which Microsoft effectively patented last year.

Previously there have been attempts by third party entities to come up with a motion sensing functionality for the Xbox 360. Just a few months ago, Talismoon had released a tiltboard controller for Microsoft’s next generation console. But it would be great if such add-ons are launched by the company itself.
