It is a well known fact that World of Warcraft is the topmost massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), with more than nine million players. Now news website Videogamer is reporting that Joel Bylos, who is the quest designer for Age of Conan has said that gamers are getting tired with World of Warcraft.
Joel Bylos said in an interview, “Yeah. There’s definitely that feeling on the Internet. You get that just from online communities, which of course we all pay attention to as well. But I think one mistake a lot of people make is they design a game to be WoW and WoW was successful on its own two legs and that’s what Conan is going to do.” Though Bylos said that everybody working in the industry respects World of Warcraft, he feels that there is a general consensus on the internet that the game is losing its luster.
Age of Conan has been developed in-house by publishers Funcom. The game will be distributed by Eidos. The violent fantasy massively multiplayer online game will come on the Xbox 360 as well as the PC platforms.
