NCsoft has sent word that their upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Tabula Rasa has finally entered the closed beta testing stage. The space epic has been made by industry legend and astronaut Richard Garriott, who is the executive producer at NCsoft and the Texas-based Destination Games development team.
Garriott says, “This is an exciting time for the Tabula Rasa team with closed beta testing now in progress, we’re excited to hear more what our players think. With fast-action and tactical combat in an RPG setting, a deep and interesting fictional universe, and many feature innovations, we think we’ve created a game that represents the next generation of MMO games and will revolutionize the way people play online games.”
Initially there were speculations that the MMORPG was delayed. However, Richard Garriott later denied that the game was off-schedule and confirmed that Tabula Rasa was on time and would release in 2007.
