Australia Bans “Reservoir Dogs” Game

Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) has decided to ban Eidos’ interactive game based on Quentin Tarantino’s classic crime caper film “Reservoir Dogs”. Last Friday it declined to grade the game with a rating even though the developers at Blitz Games, creators of the Reservoir Dogs game have quoted that it’s likely for players to make it through the entire game without killing a single person. This means the game is now efficiently banned in the country. Atari Australia, the distributors of the game have chosen to scrap the project rather than resubmitting the edited version.

OFLC has also banned Marc Ecko’s Getting Up for promoting vandalism and criminal behavior, GTA III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Postal, Postal 2, 50 Cent: Bulletproof, Narc, The Punisher, The Getaway, Phantasmagoria, and the Roberta Williams Anthology have also been rejected classification and banned in the country. But some of the games like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and BMX XXX have later been given the ratings.
