Sierra Entertainment has released screenshots of Caesar IV, its new strategy game.
Your post is that of a governor stationed in a newly established Roman province who is given the responsibility to bring the area into the Roman fold by creating a flourishing capital city, widespread trade networks, and a safe environment through the conception of a powerful military. You’ll also need to focus some of the city’s wealth back to Rome. If you are triumphant, you’ll proceed to the empire’s political ladder, and continue to take on new assignments in other locations spread throughout the ancient world, such as Sicily, Spain, Britain, Germany, Romania, Greece, Asia Minor, Judea, and Egypt. As the city grows from a simple village to an active sophisticated city, your challenges and responsibilities will increase too. Your final goal is to rise among the political ranks of the kingdom, and become Caesar yourself.
Caesar IV is developed by Tilted Mill and will be published by Sierra Entertainment. The game will release for the PC platforms in September 2006.
