Many new enhancements will be featured in Half-Life 2: Episode 2.”Cinematic Physics” is to give players the opportunity to experience in-game physics in action on an impressive scale. A new graphical improvement called “soft particle systems” will also be included in Half-Life 2: Episode 2.

Portal, a separate single-player game that takes place in the Half-Life universe was announced too. Portal is based on a protagonist with an unusual “portal” gun that opens up portals any place you aim. These portals appear just like the ones observed in Prey and having control over them unlocks all types of new gameplay puzzles and challenges.
