Activision may have made many gamers happy by announcing that they would be replacing the scratched discs of the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Now they have sent word that master recordings from Linkin Park, Mastadon and The Used will be available as a downloadable track pack for GH III.
Besides Linkin Park, music artists such as Extremoduro, Trust and Die Fantastischen Vier will also be available for Guitar Hero III. Keeping the holiday season in mind, Activision will pack a free, exclusive rock rendition of the holiday classic ‘We Three Kings’, that has been recorded by Steve Ouimette.

The content for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be available during the month of December. Warner/Reprise Track Pack, single song downloads and free holiday classic for the GH III will only be available on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Gamers can also take part in fret-bending competitions on the official website to win prizes after downloading the new tracks.
