Nintendo has just announced that it’ll be bundling Limited Edition copies of Mario Kart 8 with real life Spiny Shell (or Blue Shell) statuettes. Although exact details of this package still haven’t been declared, the video we’ve posted in the space below shows how exactly the collector’s item will look. The release date for this Wii U game has been marked down for May 30, and of course, it will be made available in the form of a standard edition as well.
News about the Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition came through the video, and there’s no word from Nintendo yet about what regions this Limited Edition bundle has been aimed at. It appears that it has only been confirmed for Europe at the moment. Certain retailers have already put it up for pre-order as well. GAME is selling the package for 59.99 GBP (approx. Rs 6,130).
Standard copies of the game also have pre-order offers in Europe at the moment. Key-chains based on characters from the Nintendo universe form part of these deals. While some retailers are offering Golden Mushroom key chains, some are granting Bullet Bill and Red Shell ones. GAME is going overboard and even bundling a Wii U racing wheel with each pre-order of the game.
Standard copies of Mario Kart 8 can be pre-ordered at 39.99 GBP (approx. Rs 4,085).
