Nintendo’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of its beloved Zelda franchise is proving to be a delight for fans as the Japanese video game maker announced recently, a limited edition The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword bundle which apart from a copy of the game includes a gold controller and more. This bundle will be made available when the game releases this November.
The gold controller would only be available for those who purchase the package as a whole and would not be sold separately. In addition, every copy in the initial production of the game will come with a free CD featuring select orchestral arrangements that were performed at The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert performances in October 2011. These CDs will also be a part of the limited edition bundle.
Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing Scott Moffitt, shared, “Nintendo has something for you this fall, no matter what type of gamer you are, no matter what Nintendo system you’re playing. Whether you’re looking for a world-spanning epic like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the pick-up-and-play puzzle fun of Tetris: Axis or the mind-bending adventure of Professor Layton and the Last Specter, we’ve got you covered.”
Moreover, the company also announced that their Game Boy classic Tetris: Axis will be released for the 3DS on October 2, 2011. This game will allow up to 8 players to compete in multiplayer battles. On the other hand, Professor Layton and the Last Specter, which is the start of a brand new trilogy is scheduled to launch for the Nintendo DS on October 17.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Bundle will be made available on November 20 which is also the release date of the game. It will be priced at 69.99 USD (approx Rs. 3,223). The game can be purchased separately and is now available for pre-order at 49.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,302).
