Nintendo Wii U Boasts of Custom AMD Radeon HD GPU

As Nintendo finally introduced the successor to the Wii, numerous speculations and announcements have taken the terrain by storm. Now, AMD has offered us a sneak peek into the hardware by disclosing its contribution to making the Wii U a system for ‘enjoyable console gaming entertainment.’ It has been divulged that the newly unearthed console comes equipped with custom AMD Radeon HD GPU for rendering a gratifying visual treat.

Infusing high-definition graphics support, the AMD integration into the system has been touted to extend rich multimedia acceleration and playback. It will bring multiple display support to the console, allowing gamers to pair the device with appropriate and available screens. Further, this included graphics processor is embedded with a superior processing core for churning out an immersive gaming experience.

Although precise information about the launch of the Wii U is not available, Nintendo seems geared up to launch a massive campaign before the device’s arrival in 2012.
