No WiiWare Version for Super Meat Boy

The Meat Boy walked into the XBLA this October for rescuing Bandage Girl from the clutches of Dr. Fetus. Subsequent to its advent on the Xbox 360 and PC, Super Meat Boy has been highly anticipated by Wii owners as well. However, a Twitter post by Team Meat reveals that the company’s plan of crafting the title’s WiiWare version has been called off.

Apparently, it has been indicated that the title was well on tracks for the Wii. Nevertheless, the size cap affixed by Nintendo for titles arriving on their platform led to several issues for the developer. Owing to the taut space, the developers were ostensibly not pleased with the quality of the game which could be churned out.

The latter half of the tweet discloses that Team Meat is currently pursuing a deal for retailing the game’s Wii version. Well, whether the company manages to pull it off or not will be uncovered in the coming time. For now, we can only hope to see Super Meat Boy on the Wii through retail channels.
