Virtual Console Outs Mario Party 2, WiiWare Flashes Frobot

The folks over at Nintendo have been beaming throughout the year as one of their beloved creations namely Mario accomplished a 25-year old long journey in the gaming terrain. Now, the company has unveiled a page from its final bash for the year while enabling gamers to play a loving robot as well as an incubator defender. This week, the Virtual Console sets the triumphant mood with Mario Party 2 whereas the WiiWare channel streams out Frobot and Inkub.

Along with his friends from the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario has planned a Bowser-bashing board game action for this New Year’s Eve. In Mario Party 2, gamers can dress up in fashionable costumes while exploring various surprises tucked in through five distinct locations. This title facilitates players to drape differently themed garbs as they advent into Horror Land, Space Land, Adventure Boards: Pirate Land, Mystery Land and Western Land. Infused with varied minigames, this chapter in the Mario Party series allows them to earn the badge of a Super Star with up to four friends on this exciting ride.

To expand this party with some blistering action, the WiiWare now showcases Frobot and Inkub. In the latter, Wii owners will be assigned with the task of shielding incubators from colonies of vivid organisms, viruses and bacteria. These incubators have been connected to life support system with translucent carbon tubes for protecting special species of eggs. Gamers will need to safeguard them from these attacking enemies with the help of weapons such as mines, projectiles, laser canons, blockers and inhibitors.

The second title which has been added into the WiiWare library is Frobot. This game revolves around an adorable robot who takes to streets for saving his five botnapped foxy girlfriends. Players will have to thrash into Funkytown Slums and BotBlocker HQ through five modes. Burn Baby Burn, The Big Payback, Superfreak, It’s Raining Guns and Do the Hustle set up for an adventurous escapade. The first three modes support single player gameplay whereas Wii owners can go for the final face-off with approximately three friends in the latter two.

Mario Party 2 and Frobot are now available for 1,000 Wii Points each whereas Inkub comes with a price tag of 500 Wii Points. Those who wish to try out Frobot before actually downloading the game can obtain the title’s free demo from the WiiWare service.
