Mega Man 4 Available for American VC

Yet another week and yet another scant offering from Nintendo for the Wii console. If you remember, last week also Nintendo had just one title for the Virtual Console and one for WiiWare. It’s the same this week. Bang Attack comes as WiiWare while Mega Man 4 touches down on the VC.

Mega Man 4

Bang Attack is available for WiiWare from publisher Engine Software. The game is a colourful puzzler suited for players of all ages with its simple pick-up-and-play and learn-as-you-go-along gameplay. The game’s main objective is to find identical objects and destroy them with a tiny little hammer. You rack up points in this manner, and when you have enough you can swing the BIG hammer. The game can be played by one or two players and requires speed and timing. Bang Attack has 40 levels spread over 4 whacky worlds and is available for 500 Wii Points.

For the Virtual Console this week we have Mega Man 4 from Capcom originally for the NES. A year has gone by since the destruction of Gamma, and the defeat of Dr. Wily by Mega Man. But one day Dr. Light gets a strange letter from an unknown scientist called Dr. Mikhail Cossack, who plans to eliminate Mega Man. In this iteration of the game Mega Man can charge energy inside his Arm Cannon allowing him to fire larger and more devastating blasts. Mega Man 4 for the VC is available for 500 Wii Points.

Nintendo releases new titles every Monday to the Wii Shop Channel, and even has a parental control feature so that parents can monitor and control the content their children have access to.
