Super Empire Strikes Back for American Virtual Console

Nintendo has once again come forward as it does, and announced the Nintendo Download for this week. We get one WiiWare title, one Virtual Console title and one DSiWare title added to the existing lineup of downloadable titles. On WiiWare is Mr. Driller W, while on the VC section is Super Empire Strikes Back and on DSiWare is the game Pop+ Solo.

Mr. Driller W for WiiWare, is an updated version of the game which has players doing some frantic underground drilling. The game features over 20 missions and stages, and multiple degrees of difficulty, as players avoid falling obstacles, coloured blocks, and manage their air supply strategically. The cool graphics and fun for all gameplay make it a highly engaging trip on a gaming masterpiece. Mr. Driller W is published by NBGI and is for one player. The game can be downloaded for 800 Wii Points.

Super Empire Strikes Back is the Super NES title now available for the VC. In the game, the Rebel forces gather themselves on the icy world of Hoth, as they are attacked by ice monsters and huge Imperial Walkers and tracked by probe droids. Players must quickly learn to master the force, as they are the Alliance’s only hope. Super Empire Strikes Back is for one player and is published by LucasArts. The game can be purchased for 800 Wii Points.

Pop+ Solo, an amazing puzzle/shooter, comes as DSiWare and challenges players to pop bubbles, build chains and fight against the clock. The new Bonus Round mode increases the difficulty as you go along, while the game’s Adventure mode throws in mines, jets of water and golden fish, plus four boss battles. Players can “chill out” in the Chill mode or challenge themselves in the new Challenge mode. Pop+ Solo is published by Nnooo for one player, and can be purchased by redeeming 500 Nintendo DSi Points.

A single Nintendo points cards must be redeemed for one console only and cannot be divided between the two. Nintendo adds new titles to the Wii Shop Channel and the Nintendo DSi Shop every Monday.
