EA had previously said that EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 would make use of the Wii MotionPlus technology. Now EA Sports has officially announced that the Wii versions of both games will come bundled with the Wii MotionPlus accessory in Europe, while in North America, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will come with the accessory at the game’s launch.
“This exclusive and limited-time offer is exciting news for sports fans who want to enhance their Wii experience for a great value with the new Wii MotionPlus right at launch with both Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis,” stated Peter Moore, President at EA Sports. “The functionality of the Wii MotionPlus will help us deliver the authentic, true-to-life sports motion that will redefine the sports experience on the Wii.”
With the Wii MotionPlus accessory, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 lets Wii gamers achieve a very authentic golf swing giving added control of the golf ball, up and down the course. Also there will be an all-new disc golf mode in the game which, with the MotionPlus accessory, will allow players to throw the disc in whichever manner they chose.
EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis, launches first for the Wii and with the MotionPlus will give the sensation of actually playing on the tennis court. The game features realistic ball placement and added shot depth and players can play as their favorite tennis greats such as John McEnroe, Roger Federer, Serena Williams or choose from many other players featured in the game.
In North America, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be available for the Wii for a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,010) when bundled with the Wii MotionPlus accessory. EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour will retail for 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,510) without the accessory and are expected to hit US stores on June 15, 2009.
In Europe, Tiger Woods PGA Tour and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis will retail for around 49.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 3,670) bundled with the Wii MotionPlus accessory. European release dates for the two games have not been mentioned.
