Wii Rock Band users get Country and Bonnaroo Songs

Harmonix and MTV Games have released around 25 tracks from artists featuring in this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and others from artists like Motley Crue, Soundgarden and Rush. All these tracks are now available from the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content for the Wii.

Bonnaroo is a four day music festival which happens once every year in Tennessee. The festival has won the Rolling Stone 2008 ‘Best Festival’ title and is known for the assorted mixture of performing artists. Now, songs from Ben Harper and Relentless7, Coheed, Shooter Jennings, Cambria and many others have been made available in the Rock Band Music Store for Wii. For country music lovers there are songs from Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and The Dixie Chicks.

The following songs are available for USD 2 (approx. Rs.95) or for 200 Wii Points:

    Critical Acclaim – Avenged Sevenfold.
    Mud on the Tires – Brad Paisley.
    A Favor House Atlantic – Coheed and Cambria.
    Free & Easy (Down the Road I Go) – Dierks Bentley.
    Girls Who Play Guitars – Maximo Park.
    Down at the Whisky – Motley Crue.
    Wilson (Live) – Phish.
    Devour – Shinedown.
    Steady at the Wheel – Shooter Jennings.
    Pretty Noose – Soundgarden.
    Who’s Going Home With You Tonight? – Trapt.
    Shimmer & Shine – Ben Harper and Relentless7.
    Hillbillie Deluxe – Brooks & Dunn.
    The Running Free – Coheed and Cambria.
    Sin Wagon – Dixie Chicks.
    Gunpowder & Lead – Miranda Lambert Miranda Lambert.
    Closer to the Heart – Rush.
    Junkies for Fame – Shinedown.
    Jesus Christ Pose – Soundgarden.
    Wolf Like Me – TV on the Radio.

The following songs are available for USD 1 (approx. Rs.50) or for 100 Wii Points:

    A Clean Shot – The Myriad.
    Moving to Seattle – The Material.
    Rock & Roll Dream – Crooked X.
    Bullets & Guns – Them Terribles.

Xbox 360 and PS3 users had access to these songs even before their release on the Wii. Harmonix and MTV Games, however, expect the 700 songs on the back catalog to be gradually made available to add to the tally of 300 songs presently in the Rock Band Music Store for Wii.

The first Rock Band game was released in November 2007 and the Rock Band Music Store allows users to preview and download individual tracks and customize their own music collection. The DLC for the Wii can be bought from the in-game music store so the player does not have to leave the game and it can be stored either on an SD card or on the system memory.
