Publishers EA have announced that a new event for their MMORPG, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning called Rise of the Tomb Kings, has begun. The live event is scheduled to run for a week and will have the two opposing armies of Order and Destruction battling each other for ultimate supremacy.
The gameplay has features like Realm vs. Realm combat, where six separate armies will go head to head in battle. Players can select to be a part of any of the six armies and can also interchange sides while in the game. The realm which manages to win will be allowed to access new tomb themed zones like Tomb of the Vulture Lord, Necropolis of Zandri, Gunbad and a host of other scenarios where players can find untold riches. The developers have come out with new titles such as ‘Sky Captain’ for the Army of Order and ‘Master of the Air’ for the Army of Destruction.
The WAR Rise of the Tomb Kings Event runs up until June 22, 2009. A release from the company notes that dedicated and lucky players stand a chance to receive the Ravening Cloak, only available during this live event.
