Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in the closing months of 2007 for the PS3 Xbox 360 and Windows PCs. The game was highly acclaimed by gamers and critics, and its story deviated from the World War II scenarios of the previous games in the series. Modern Warfare was later released for Mac computers as well.
Now we have word that publisher Activision will release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the Wii in November this year, to eager COD fans and Wii owners. The publisher is making this move in order to release the Wii game in conjunction with the launch of Infinity Ward’s COD Modern Warfare 2. Just a little while ago Activision had announced a similar November release for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Mobilized for the Nintendo DS platform.
The Wii version of Modern Warfare will be developed by Treyarch, and is scheduled to release on November 10, 2009, while prices have not been announced.
