Tetris Party on WiiWare, Gradius II on American VC this week

Nintendo just keeps on adding great stuff to the Virtual Console as well as the WiiWare. This week too, they have added two games to both the services. Tetris Party and The Incredible Maze grace the WiiWare while Digital Champ Battle Boxing and Gradius II Gofer No Yabou are up on the American Virtual Console.

Here are the details of the games on the American VC and WiiWare:

First up, we have Digital Champ Battle Boxing for the Virtual Console. The first-person-perspective boxing game was first released on the TurboGrafx16 and features 12 rounds to a match, each round of three minutes. Gamers can go to the next round via a KO or flattening an opponent three times in a round for a TKO. They can make use of three different kinds of “Devastator” punches, left and right jabs, power-charged crosses and even hooks.

The next VC game that we have is Gradius II Gofer No Yabou. The shooter was also released on the TurboGrafx16 and is a sequel to the famous Gradius game. Gamers can choose between numerous Weapon Modules and Shields to embark upon the changeable stages and enemy attack patterns they come up against. Gradius II Gofer No Yabou has nine stages and yes, with the intense action it features the fast-paced background music.

Then we have the Tetris Party game for the WiiWare service. The puzzler has ten never-before-seen single-player as well as multiplayer variations of Tetris. Gamers can expect Field Climber, Stage Racer, Shadow and Wii Balance Board-enabled modes. Gamers can play online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and play against up to five friends at a time.

Lastly we have The Incredible Maze for the WiiWare. Gamers have to use the Wiimotes and tilt them to steer through a series of exhilarating and twisted mazes. Corners have traps as well as obstacles. Gamers can also look out for gems in a timed challenge and they can test their abilities in a race against the clock. What’s more, the game is compatible with the Wii Balance Board.

All these games are up on the Wii Shop Channel. Digital Champ Battle Boxing comes with a price tag of 700 Wii Points while Gradius II Gofer No Yabou costs 900 Wii Points. As for the games on the WiiWare, Tetris Party has been priced at 1,200 Wii Points and The Incredible Maze has been priced at 500 Wii Points.
