Most people are of the opinion that the Nintendo Wii is for the casual gamers. Though that is not the case, very less games for the hardcore gamers are available for Nintendo’s next generation console. Now Marc Franklin from Nintendo has stated that they will be announcing new games for hardcore gamers soon.
Marc Franklin is the director of public relations at Nintendo. He was queried by gaming news website GamePro about the forthcoming Wii games and which ones should hardcore gamers be excited for. Franklin answered, “We recently announced the upcoming release of Mario Super Sluggers. Additionally, we will be announcing several new titles that core gamers will be interested in around the time of E3.”
Marc Franklin also pointed out that most of the gamers waiting in line outside retailers on Sunday mornings to purchase their Wii consoles are the hardcore ones. He is of the view that games for the hardcore gamers are already being rolled out by outside publishers as they have realized that Wii is the current platform of choice in the present generation.
