Three Game Gear Titles for Nintendo Downloadable Games This Week

A total of three original Game Gear offerings have made their way to the 3DS with this week’s Nintendo downloadable games. Besides, the Neo Geo classic, Samurai Shodown IV also hits Wii along with a DSiWare game titled Pirates Assault and a Nintendo Video named Kid Icarus 3D Anime.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble

Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble is the first among the three Game Gear classics, which will all be available exclusively for the 3DS. This 1994 side-scroller features six zones, five bonus rounds and a wild 3D stage. Next in line is Shinobi, which proffers players with abilities like running on water, swinging from a crescent blade and walking on ceilings. The last Game Gear classic entering this week’s list is the turn-based dungeon RPG, Dragon Crystal.

Shinobi

1996’s Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge is the fourth installment in the popular series and has now been made available through the Virtual Console section of the Wii Shop Channel tagged at 900 Points. Pirates Assault for the DSi is a tower defense game which is said to bring in little twists to the genre. Players will need to upgrade their weapons and rob rum ships to gain currency, all in order to protect their acquired treasure.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Shinobi and Dragon Crystal from this week’s Nintendo downloadable games now retail on the eShop at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 250), 3.99 USD (approx. Rs. 200) and 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 150), respectively. On the other hand, Pirates Assault sells on the DSi Shop at 200 Points, and on the eShop at 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 100).
