Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs Announced for Nintendo DS Consoles

Pokémon was last in the news for its Black and White versions which were slated to unveil across Japan this month. Back in June, the Enigma Stone and Legendary Pokémon was offered to fans through limited Wi-Fi distribution. Now the third installment of the Pokémon Ranger Series called Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs will arrive in Europe for Nintendo DS systems this November. The game was even part of the DS line-up revelation dished out by Nintendo at E3 2010.

The lasted iteration enables players to adorn the role of a Pokémon Ranger who must safeguard wild Pokémon as well as the local people from the likes of Pokémon Pinchers. They will be aided in their endeavor by Ukulele Pichu. In order to protect the inhabitants, they must seek the help of Legendary Pokémons and stop the Pinchers from carrying out their evil plans successfully.

Pokémon can be easily caught by opting them with the Capture Styler on the device’s touchscreen. These powerful critters will aid them by clearing obstacles and acquiring stronger Pokémon. Looked upon as a first in the series, players can summon their desired Pokémon by simply etching their Ranger Sign. Some of the Legendary Pokémon available in the game includes Suicune, Entei and Raikou.

Adorning the boots of a Pokémon Ranger, gamers will be able to embark on various missions that comprise of stopping a natural disaster, going in search of a missing person or protecting the peace. They will be able to proceed further only after they complete these selected missions. The chapters embedded into the game lets players take part in puzzle-solving challenges and dynamic tasks which require the aid of their Pokémon creatures.

Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs also dishes out Wireless Multiplayer Missions where up to three other Pokémon Rangers can play through the Nintendo DS Local Wireless Connection. Come November 5, 2010 and gamers will be able to avail of two Special Missions namely ‘Deoxys and the Odd Temple’ and ‘Protect the Blue Sphere’ for a short period of time through Wi-Fi. Once the Special Mission of the former is cleared, players can send Deoxys to their Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver versions.

Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is scheduled to enter European stores on November 5, 2010 for the Nintendo DS family of consoles. The official pricing details are however still under wraps for now.
