Nyko recently released candy-coloured wand controllers for the Nintendo Wii. Now Nyko Technologies has announced that the Zoom Case, a detachable hard shell case and optical zoom lens, is available at retail for the Nintendo DSi. The Zoom Case will make it easier to take clearer pictures with the DSi camera from a greater distance, and at the same time will protect the DSi from getting scuffed and scratched.
“Nyko strives to find ways we can improve upon today’s latest gaming systems,” Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies stated. “That tradition continues in a product like the Zoom Case which improves upon one of the landmark features of the DSi, enabling gamers to take higher quality images, which is perfect for the growing suite of social networking capabilities available on the platform.”
The Zoom Case wraps around the Nintendo DSi to protect it from scratches and the 8x optical zoom lens allows for closer and clearer pictures. The lens can be detached from the case for easy travel and storage, and it does not require an external power source, nor does it draw power from the DSi.
Pricing or availability of the Zoom Case from Nyko Technologies has not been revealed.
