The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is a new action-adventure game currently under development by Nintendo. This title is set to release in December for the Nintendo DS. Video game history witnessed back in 1986 Princess Zelda captured and taken out of Hyrule. In order to rescue her, the youth Link embarked on many a dangerous adventure. While she was out of the picture for majority of the times, Link faced off deadly foes and traveled through dark dungeons alone. This game now features both Link as well as Zelda.
“More than two decades into its rich history, The Legend of Zelda has introduced another historic first for players as Link and Zelda unite to save Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Combining these unprecedented new story and game-play elements with the series’ innovative touch-screen interface on Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi, the game is sure to surprise and delight new and longtime fans,” explained Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
In the upcoming Nintendo DS title, Princess Zelda escapes the grip of the underworld and pairs up with Link as they journey through the game on a mission to save the land of Hyrule. The spirit of Zelda is able to take possession of huge metallic suits of armor called Phantoms. Players can hence lead both heroes into the thick of the story as they battle foes, unravel secrets and solve secrets. The game offers new storylines, items and areas as Link and Zelda ride on the customizable train. Players will even get a taste of the iconic game character Princess Zelda.
The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is expected to debut onto the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi in North America on December 7, 2009. The exact pricing details are yet to be revealed by the company.
