Nintendo DSi Crosses Half Million Milestone in Japan

Earlier this month, we had reported that the Nintendo DSi was effectively sold out in Japan. Well, it seems that the new iteration of the DS is keeping up the good performance in Japan. Now it has emerged that the Nintendo DSi has crossed the half million millstone in the land of the rising sun.

Data from Japanese publishers Enterbrain indicates that the 535,379 units of DSi have been bought in November. The total tally of the DSi, DS Lite and the original Nintendo DS in Japan stands at 24.2 million units. And yeah, if you want to compare the DS Lite and DSi in terms of the first month sales, the former sold 550,000 units in Japan.

The Nintendo DSi has been priced at ¥18,900 (approx. Rs. 10, 080) in Japan. The pricing is attractive so are the new features that are added to the portable gaming console. There are two cameras as well as bigger screens and an SD memory card slot. The only thing is when will the Nintendo DSi hit the western shores?
