Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta announced as release date approaches

While the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn release date for both its PS3 and PC versions has already been set for August 27, the upcoming MMORPG is all geared up to have its open beta tests underway days prior to that. PS3 and PC gamers will be able to participate in this Final Fantasy XIV test phase between August 17 to August 19, and as part of an early access program, those who have pre-ordered their copies of the title will be enabled to jump into it from August 24 onward, 3 days before its final launch.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Besides, an iOS companion app for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is ready to be deployed as well. Dubbed FF XIV: Libra Eorzea, it will allow players to view information about their characters, quests and other such traits. Square Enix has revealed that those PC users who had registered with the earlier version of the game which turned out to be a total bummer, will be able to play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for free until September 9. Moreover, subscribing gamers will be granted rewards based on the amount of days they buy their memberships for.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn can be pre-ordered now through its official site, and like we said, those who book their copies beforehand will be getting to play it 3 days prior to its actual launch date, August 27. The iOS app however, will arrive only a week after the game is out.

Once released, FF XIV: A Realm Reborn will sell for 40 USD (approx. Rs 2,430) to those who buy its PS3 version and at 30 USD (approx. Rs 1,820) to those who acquire it for PC.
