Star Wars: The Old Republic Dated, Subscription Prices Revealed

One of this year’s most anticipated games, Star Wars: The Old Republic has at last been endowed with a December 20 launch date and moreover, BioWare has also divulged information regarding the subscription charges of this MMORPG. Every copy of this title would come bundled with a one month account, after which gamers will be needed to purchase further subscriptions.

Furthermore, those who pre-order the title will be provided with codes that can be redeemed for early access to the game through its website. Developed by BioWare, Star Wars: The Old Republic is a PC-only game that takes place 3,500 years before the events in the Star Wars films. The story picks up after the establishment of a tenuous peace between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic.

Ray Muzyka, BioWare co-founder, revealed, “This is an incredible moment for everyone at BioWare and our partners at LucasArts who have dedicated their lives to build this extraordinary game. We appreciate the patience from the millions of fans who have been waiting for the game’s release.”

After the expiry of this game’s one month account, gamers would be provided with options of purchasing subscriptions for either one, three or six months. A one month subscription will retail at 14.99 USD (approx Rs. 740) while a three month membership would be made available at 41.97 USD (approx Rs. 2,074). Furthermore, the six month account will cost gamers 77.94 USD (approx Rs. 3,852).

Star Wars: The Old Republic which is slated for a December 20, 2011 release can be pre-ordered currently at 59.95 USD (approx Rs. 2,963).
