Lego Universe closed beta version available for Mac gamers

Gamers who loved their building blocks as kids can now unleash their creativity with similar objects. Back in June, Lego Group announced the massively multiplayer online game Lego Universe which unlocks the doors of an alternate space for players. According to Joystiq, NetDevil has extended closed beta the title for Mac owners.

Players can visit the Beta Center section on the official website to join the gameplay. On visiting the web page, gamers will need to sign up on the website to dive into the universe. They can play this MMOG title on particular days of the week. However, the game will soon hit stores, allowing players to load the title anytime they wish.

During this year’s E3, Warner Bros unveiled some features of this title for attendees. Gamers were allowed to create innovative characters and infusing life into them. These activities reflected the building and behavior features of the title.

Developed by NetDevil, Lego Universe will be released on October 26, 2010 for PC and Mac. The game will be published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. The title can now be pre-ordered from the official Lego website for 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,870). This package encloses the game’s DVD, one month subscription, story leaflet and user guide. Gamers can extend their registration further by subscribing for 1, 6 or 12 months.
