Aren’t there enough massively multiplayer online games already? Some have a fantasy theme while some have shades of science fiction. But what about your favorite comic book characters? Well, Sony Online solved that problem earlier this year when it revealed DC Universe Online.
However, gamers are still wondering when will DC Universe Online be launched? Well, it seems that the MMORPG featuring the DC Comics characters is expected to be out by late next year or early 2010. Geoff Johns is writing the DC Universe Online game. This is what he told the MTV Multiplayer blog:
“It launches I think in early 2010, it could be late 2009. I have written the overall story and the path that gets you into the game and the areas of the universe and how to explore them, but not every line of dialogue. That is a fulltime job, it’s too frigging big, too intense to write every line of an MMO. I’d probably jump off a building.”
But an official from Sony Online Entertainment has denied that they have a release date for DC Universe Online. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game is being developed for the PS3 and the PC platforms.
