Xbox One ready for Indian debut tonight, exclusive to Amazon

September 23, the release date for the Xbox One console in India is finally upon us. Amazon India, the console’s exclusive seller in the country will be making it available on its website at midnight tonight, with its price starting at Rs 39990. That is around the same value at which you can purchase the PS4. Moreover, Microsoft will also be releasing a model bundling its Kinect accessory which will have its asking amount set at Rs 45990.

While the earlier package will come with a free copy of FIFA 15, the Kinect bundle will include that game as well as a downloadable version of Dance Central Spotlight. A number of other offers are also being granted by Amazon India at the moment. Along with the country, the Xbox One is also slated to be released in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore on September 23. And while China too could have been one of them, there has been a delay in the proceedings for some reason, which is why the console won’t hit the country tonight.

The Xbox One was first released back in November last year, and has since been struggling hard to keep up with the popularity and superior sales figures of the PS4. It comes with a Blu-ray player and places heavy focus on the use of its Kinect accessory via voice and gestures. Its software has been receiving a steady number of updates since early this year.
