Microsoft India has commenced a new Xbox Live Gold Rush program which is not only aimed at promoting its premium online service for the 360 console, but is also accompanied by various prizes. Prime among those is a special suitcase containing goodies worth about Rs 3 lakh. This promotion is slated to last until June 30, and will even have weekly winners receiving prizes in the form of free Gold subscriptions and more.
The suitcase which happens to be the grand prize of this promotion contains a 100 gram gold bar and that’s is what gives it this much value. Moreover, it even grabs a Collector’s Edition of Titanfall (Xbox 360 version of course), a special edition chrome controller and 12-month Gold subscription card. Starting today, this program will run through June 30, and all gamers have to do to be eligible for this prize is own a Gold subscription.
In addition, there will be lucky winners each week who will be presented with a 12-month Gold subscription as well as a Rs 2,500 Xbox Live gift card. This contest too will require a membership to be eligible for it and winners will start being announced every week from April 25 onwards. There’s more; anyone who purchases a 12-month Gold membership between April 21 and June 30 will be able to download 9 free games on their Xbox 360 systems. It’s not known which games are included in this list.
Anshu Mor of Microsoft India commented that this Xbox Live Gold Rush program has been aimed by the company towards creating a sense of community among fans.
