Halo 5: Guardians coming to Xbox One in 2015, but ‘your journey begins in 2014’

Xbox One’s biggest flagship till date, Halo 5: Guardians has been partly revealed by Microsoft. Full details are expected to be disclosed at this year’s E3 but we do know right now that the game will be out for the said console during the fall of 2015. There’s one more important detail in the line ‘your journey begins in 2014’ which the company has inserted in its press announcement.

Described as a bigger effort than Halo 4 and also as a ‘massive and exciting project,’ this game is being developed by 343 Industries. So far, we’ve been promised 60 frames per second output and dedicated servers. Halo 5: Guardians will also be accompanied by a Halo television series as promised at last year’s E3. It too will launch during the fall of 2015. So what is it exactly that Microsoft wants to unveil later this year. We’ll be finding out more about that at this year’s E3, so you’d better stay tuned.

Halo 5: Guardians is preceded by some of the finest exclusive first-person shooter offerings for Xbox consoles. The multi-billion dollar sci-fi franchise debuted in 2001 and has since spawned three more main offerings and several other accompanying titles. Halo 5: Guardians will be the series’ debut on the Xbox one, and Microsoft will expect it to contribute a lot towards moving more units of the console.
