Activision and ABC entertainment are geared up to give gamers experiences like bouncing on big balls, getting hit by a sucker punch, and escaping the blades of fury all in a single room. Wipeout: In the Zone allows users to counter the obstacles of the popular TV show on their Kinect for Xbox 360.
New obstacles like punching copycat pose boards and power pumps make their way into the game along with the old ones. Fun-for-the-whole-family party mode allows four players to play at a time. Gamers have the option of playing with their own Xbox Live online entertainment network avatars or those present in the game.
Nicole Armstrong, Activision Publishing, commented, “After the success of the first Wipeout title, we are more than thrilled to be bringing another Wipeout video game to the interactive world, and this time exclusively for Kinect. Wipeout: In the Zone utilizes technological advances in gaming to break down the living room walls and put gamers into a truly authentic recreation of thrilling television.”
The game also includes instants replays and close-ups of wipeouts along with humorous commentary by John Anderson, John Henson and Jill Wagner. Non participating players too can get into the act by flinging paint balls from the sidelines.
Wipeout: In the Zone on Kinect for Xbox 360 has been rated E10+ by ERSB. It is now available in the market at a price of $49.99 (approx Rs. 2,242).
