The 2010 International Consumer Electronic Show already started of with a bang. The CES pre-show opening keynote was belted out by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Entertainment & Devices President Robbie Bach. They touched upon various topics and disclosed information about many forthcoming products and inceptions. Among them, Ballmer revealed that the highly-awaited Project Natal would be available by the holiday season 2010. Project Natal

In November 2009, we had reported about the alleged leak of crucial details and pricing of the controller-free Microsoft offering. The rumor stated a November 2010 release and with the reveling of the above information from Microsoft, we can expect the Natal to land somewhere around the second-last month of this year. Nothing more besides a Holiday release was revealed by Microsoft at CES. The actual unfurling name of the Natal and pricing are still a mystery.

During the CES, Bach also disclosed a series of ‘blockbuster exclusive games’ like Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Fable 3, Alan Wake and Crackdown 2. He also predicts that the title Halo Reach which is the next installment in the Halo saga would be the ‘biggest game of the year’. A new Game Room on the Xbox Live was also revealed by Bach to unveil this year. The latest Game Room is set to give players loads of nostalgia as it comprises of more than 1000 titles of arcade games plucked right out from past years. These titles are set to unfurl on the new Game Room over the next three years.

Not much is revealed on these two gaming aspects for now. Guess we would have to just wait until E3 to get more information.
