Battlestations: Pacific gets Two New Download Packs from Eidos

Battlestations: Pacific is the sequel to the well received Battlestations: Midway. This real-time tactics and action video game was released in May of this year. Now Eidos Interactive has made known that the Mustang Pack and the Carrier Battles Map Pack for the game have been released.

The Carrier Battles Map Pack will provide game fans with four brand new maps which can be played in all of the 5 multiplayer modes. The maps include Midway, Philippine Islands, Leyte Gulf and Aleutian Islands, and each of these maps features different game environments and settings.

Users can create their own battles in both multiplayer and single modes with the help of the Mustang Pack. The pack also features 18 new pieces of nose art and six new units. Players can take the helm of the iconic US P-51 Mustang bomber escort or man the decks with the US Navy’s Alaska Class or the Super Yamato Class prototype.

The Mustang Pack and the Carrier Battles Map Pack is available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace and will be available on Games for Windows Live from July 23, 2009 onwards. The Carrier Battles Map Pack will cost 800 points while the Mustang Pack will be priced at 160 points.
