Citizens of the United States of America love celebrating Independence Day. The fourth of July is celebrated every year with a lot of fireworks and excitement in the air. This year it is even more special as it falls on a weekend. And Epic Games will be releasing a Gears of War Title Update 4 just in time.
Rod Fergusson, Executive Producer of Gears of War 2 announces on the Epic Games Forums that there will be a July 4, 2009 Weekend Event, which starts Friday morning. The event awards players double the XP that they would normally receive. Plus the winning team will obtain a 500 XP bonus.
Also for Horde Mode players, Tickers will pop up much more frequently in the form of Ticker squads and every tenth wave will be “nothing but Tickers”. Good news for those players in a spot of bother over the Bloodmounts. The Weekend Event runs from Friday all the way to July 6, 2009 when it ends Monday morning.
