Namco Bandai has created a lot of nice games, especially in the fighting genre. Now they have sent word about two games, one for the Xbox 360, the other one for the Wii. Namco has announced Tales of Vesperia for Microsoft’s next generation console and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for Nintendo’s next-gen console.

He quoted, “The Tales series is one of our most successful and well-regarded franchises, and we are celebrating its tenth anniversary in a big way with two new games that redefine role-playing on the Xbox 360 and Wii. Not only can gamers look forward to playing these two incredible titles later this year, but we will be supporting special anniversary-themed programs throughout the year to thank all the fans of the series for their dedication and enthusiasm.”
Tales of Vesperia for the Xbox 360 will see the debut of the Tales series on Microsoft’s next generation console. It will be powered by an all-new graphics engine. The role playing game will have character designs by the renowned Kosuke Fujishima and the story follows ex-knight Yuri as he probes into an obscure plot to employ magical devices to control civilization or destroy it. Tales of Vesperia will include high-quality HD character models and environments. Namco has added things to the series’ trademark real-time combat system and gamers can expect more interaction.
As for Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the Wii, the game is set two years after the events of Tales of Symphonia game that was released for the GameCube. The game is about the adventures of Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi, the two young heroes who are out to discover the mystery surrounding their ruined world. This role playing game will have the original cast of Tales of Symphonia such as Lloyd and Colette as well as Ratatosk.
Both the games, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the Nintendo Wii as well as Tales of Vesperia for the Microsoft Xbox 360 will be released sometime later in 2008. It is good to see such role playing games on the consoles.
