A Super Mario edition of the Nintendo Switch is all set to be made available on March 10, which the Japanese company celebrates as Mar10 day. This package includes a black colored version of the console with a pair of red controllers.
There are other things that make this bundle unique. Buyers of the Mario edition of the Nintendo Switch bundle can grab one out of three games for free. They can opt for digital downloads of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
Nintendo has also revealed that the Mario edition of the Nintendo Switch will ship with special stickers from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Priced at $299.99, it will be available through the My Nintendo Store online store and via select retailers.
It’s worth noting though that the console is not the OLED version but the older regular version. Among the three free games being offered, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is expected to be the most popular download, given it’s set to get new DLC on March 9.
This content will include the next eight courses that are part of Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass DLC. A new playable character will also be added to the game in the form of Birdo.
“With a wide variety of activities all month long, we want all of Mario’s fans to know that every day can be a Mario Day,” said Devon Pritchard, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Communications.
As we said, the Super Mario bundle of the Nintendo Switch will be made available on March 10. Those wishing to buy it can keep $299.99 aside and even get a free game with their purchase.
